Configuration
- Programming system/MDI in real polar axes for indexed milling head
- Chain-type tool magazine with 40/60 pockets ISO50/HSK-A-100
- Symmetrical ram structure with four guide ways, at the center of which there is a transmission shaft for spindle head drive
- Optimised design to grant minimum 738 mm distance spindle nose-floor
- Universal high-stiffness milling head (power 44 kW)
- Thor 100’s excellent dynamics and rigidity have been obtained through extensive use of JOBS innovative technology:
- X axis moves on guide ways with sliding pads driven by double motor system (dual drive) and rack and pinion system with automatic electronic backlash recovery
- Y axis moves on three highly-rigid guide ways with double ball screw with dual drive management
- Z axis moves on 4 high-precision symmetrical guideways with respects to the spindle axis and is driven by means of pre-loaded ball screw. It is positioned in order to assure maximum performance with minimum dimensions
