TOR Engineering reflects on «Metalloobrabotka-2016» exhibition
The 17th international specialized exhibition “Metalloobrabotka-2016” ran from 23 to 27 May in Krasnaya Presnya, Moscow. It was attended by 950 exhibitors from 33 countries of all over the world, including the world’s leaders of machine building. The exhibition was very eventful and productive for TOR Engineering: all the planned events and meetings were successfully conducted.
The large-scale exhibition project ran with the support of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Machine builders union and under the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce and industry of the Russian Federation.
Over 500 companies represented Russia at “Metalloobrabotka-2016”. This is 100 companies more than at the previous exhibition. TOR Engineering, Russia, took part in the exhibition in partnership with the largest machine building group of companies FFG. The leading-edge technologies and equipment was presented at the exhibition booth of more than 200 m2 area: machining centers, separate machine units, dummies of gantry centers and other showpieces from German (Boehringer, Huller Hille, Modul, Hessapp), Italian (Jobs), Swiss (Pfiffner) and Korean (DMC, DSK) manufacturers.
The demonstration program of machining a diesel crank-case on a horizontal machining center Huller Hille NBH6 was a special object of visitors’ attention. The machine was operated in the automatic mode: first, a casting outline was performed from a rectangular blank (steel 40X), after that the crank-case mounting interface surfaces were machined, including drilling, boring and tapping operations.
A software engineer from TOR Engineering specialized in CNC machines talked about the special features of machining process on that machining center and gave an account of the implemented full-cycle projects involving NBH machining centers at Russian enterprises: all operations on a single machining center, reduction of production costs due to multiple-workpiece machining.
A part of the machining process is represented on the diagram below: casting outline was executed with tools from our partner, Walter.
Also a well-known by Russian machine-building companies CNC horizontal lathe for cycle-controlled turning originated in Germany VDF Boehringer DUS – robust, precise and timeproof – was displayed at the booth.
For the first time ever we displayed equipment from DMC, South Korea, whose official dealership license was obtained by us in 2015. The visitors of our booth got a great opportunity to familiarize themselves with a compact high-productivity machining center DL 6TMH with machining diameter up to 190 mm and center-to-center spacing up to 390 mm.
The world’s leader of cutting processes optimization OMATIVE Systems (Israel) introduced adaptive control systems, vibration control and production monitoring. The system allows solving the most up-to-date production tasks – cost reduction and enhancement of productivity.
During all working days of the exhibition TOR Engineering held presentations of turning, milling and gear hobbing equipment from the leading manufacturers of machines and machining centers from all over the world and conducted meetings and talks with customers and partners. It can be said with certainty that the exhibition “Metalloobrabotka-2016” was more than successful for TOR Engineering! There was more activity than last year in the respect of attendees as well as of the number of talks conducted.
See you at booth А04 in pavilion 8.2 next year!
